Job summary

NFM Consulting LLC is seeking an Automation Technician to own and resolve field automation challenges across Pecos, Fort Stockton, and surrounding West Texas areas. You’ll install, troubleshoot, and program systems at multiple sites, reading ladder logic and coordinating with SCADA/IT for seamless integration.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automation, including oil and gas, a strong safety record, and the ability to work independently on a hitch schedule.

Qualifications

5+ years in automation/instrumentation; oil and gas experience preferred
Field-based, hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance
Strong safety record and adherence to protocols
Willingness to hitch-schedule across West Texas sites

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, install, and program automation systems at field locations
Perform PLC programming across IDEC, Fisher ROC, ABB, Allen-Bradley, and Redline HMI
Read/write ladder logic for IDEC PLCs
Calibrate and repair instrumentation and electrical equipment
Submit reports and coordinate with operations and SCADA/IT teams
