Job summary

Emergent Automation LLC in Midland, Texas is seeking a Field Automation Technician to support upstream oil & gas products. You will troubleshoot and repair electronic instrumentation, assist with system integration, calibrations, and PLC/control panel work.

You’ll read diagrams, update firmware on microprocessors and PLCs, test system functionality, and interact with manufacturers to diagnose and resolve issues. Travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas, preferably as an A&E Technician.
• Associates or technical college degree in Mechatronics, CE, or EE.
• Willing to drive between West Texas and New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and test instrumentation in field settings.
• Lead installation and commissioning of control panels and instruments.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on NAM equipment.
• Use metering and test equipment to produce reports.
