Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking an Automation Technician in Southeast New Mexico to maintain and troubleshoot field automation, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. You’ll work with operations, engineering, and vendors to improve reliability and safety while supporting new installations.

Requirements include 3+ years in automation/electrical systems, experience with PLCs and SCADA platforms, and the ability to travel to various field sites.

Qualifications

3+ years in automation and controls or electrical systems.
Experience with SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, and field instrumentation.
Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control narratives.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot field automation, instrumentation, and related electrical equipment.
Support PLC installation, tuning, and updates; assist with commissioning.
Create and close maintenance work orders; document procedures and tests.
Collaborate with operations and engineering to improve reliability and safety.
Adhere to DOT/OSHA/NEC/NFPA safety requirements and LOTO procedures.
