Job summary

Danos, LLC is seeking an Automation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation systems across oil and gas field sites. You will handle PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, HMIs, and instrumentation to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, calibrating sensors, interpreting schematics, and performing basic programming as needed. Travel between field locations is required, with emphasis on independent, safe work practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/training preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, HMIs, and field instrumentation.
• Knowledge of 4-20 mA instrumentation and analog/digital signals.
• Able to read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and interstate travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation and control equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
• Monitor systems and respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot transmitters, sensors, valves, and switches.
• Work with pressure, temperature, flow and level devices.
• Troubleshoot 4-20 mA signals and control circuits.
• Perform basic PLC/RTU programming and diagnostics.
• Calibrate and test instrumentation for accuracy.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and loop drawings.
