Job summary

Bruker is seeking an Automation Chemist for a remote field position in the US Midwest region. You will prepare and run workflows on automated workstations, demo solutions to customers, and provide worldwide application support, including remote assistance.

Required are a BS in Chemistry and at least 3 years of on-site lab experience with instrumentation, plus strong troubleshooting and communication skills to interact with international scientists. Travel up to 80% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry required.
• Minimum 3 years of on-site lab work with instrumentation.
• Hands-on working knowledge of networked instrumentation and Windows.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer focus with ability to communicate with scientists at international sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle bulky equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, transfer, and execute workflows and chemical tests on automated workstations.
• Present workflow solutions during demos and tests.
• Provide troubleshooting and application support for customers worldwide (e.g., remote via HoloLens).
• Help further develop solutions with innovative ideas.
• Install automated solutions at customer sites, train users, and provide support.
