Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our growing team. You’ll inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations to detect damage and mechanical issues, then prepare detailed condition reports and cost estimates for clients.

Ideal candidates have 1 year in the auto field, strong English communication, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors and remotely with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships and auctions for damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit condition reports and cost estimates.
• Assist sales with up-sell or cross-sell opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with dealers and ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write reports.
• Take photos and upload to image server; list vehicles on ACV platform.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers on the platform.
