Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Staff Field Auto Appraiser to cover a multi-location territory including Denver, East Lansing, Austin, Hartford, and Rhode Island. This field role inspects vehicles, writes estimates, and coordinates with shops and clients.

The role requires four years in insurance or body shop experience, CCC One familiarity, and the ability to pass a state appraisal license within 30 days. Travel and independent work are essential, with a focus on timely, accurate cost of repair estimates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Four (4) years of insurance or body shop experience required.
• CCC One experience is preferred for the role.
• Must be able to pass state license for appraisal within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set appointments same day, inspect within 24 hours and write estimates.
• Write 6–10 estimates per day depending on location.
• Ensure proper vehicle tear down and accurate cost estimates.
• Negotiate with the shop decision maker and set completion dates.
• Provide customers with cost of repair estimates and explain the process.
• Travel to assigned work locations and manage local territory.
