Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an Auto Estimator/Field Auto Appraiser to handle field assignments for corporate fleets and insurance clients, with a focus on autos. This role covers multiple locations and requires timely inspections, accurate estimates, and effective communication with clients and shops.

Primary duties include negotiating costs, ensuring proper teardown, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the claims process. Travel to assigned work locations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; not required.
• Four years of insurance or body shop experience required.
• Good technical knowledge of auto appraisals.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Set appointments, inspect promptly, and write estimates.
• Produce 6–10 estimates per day depending on location.
• Determine repair time allotments and labor operations.
• Negotiate prices with shop decision makers.
• Provide customers with cost of repair information and explain the process.
• Support quality assurance and desk appraisal work as needed.
