Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Field Auto Damage Trainee in the West Lafayette, IN area. You will inspect vehicles, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements while engaging with customers to provide reassuring, solutions-driven service.

Training is provided, and you’ll work in a fast-paced field environment requiring flexibility and strong communication. Your role supports seamless claims handling, partnering with repair shops and rental agencies to minimize disruption for customers.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer-facing skills and ability to handle high-volume situations.
• Excellent communication and problem-resolution abilities required.
• Licensed adjuster is preferred; training and exam fees may be provided.
• Valid driver’s license per company underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, review auto insurance contracts, assess vehicle damage, and write repair estimates.
• Coordinate with body shops, rental agencies, and parts suppliers to settle claims.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction through thoughtful and proactive service.
