The Broward County Government is seeking a Staff Auditor to support independent, objective reviews of county activities for efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with laws and standards. This role operates in a hybrid environment with a mix of in-office and remote work as appropriate.

You will perform financial, compliance, and performance audits across divisions and contractors, document findings, and develop recommendations to improve controls and accountability.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, finance or related field.
• Experience in government auditing is preferred but not required.
• Ability to use electronic workpapers for audits.

Responsabilités

• Performs audit procedures on scheduled audit projects in accordance with approved audit programs.
• Researches, collects, verifies, and analyzes data; interviews appropriate personnel.
• Evaluates internal controls and prepares evaluations and recommendations.
• Documents audit tests, findings, and recommendations in working papers.
• Drafts follow-up reports and ensures corrective actions are completed.
