Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is hiring a Field Auditor in The Colony, TX to perform physical merchandise counts, audit exception reports, and support various departments to ensure accurate product receiving. The role requires meticulous attention to discrepancies, photos, and entering audits into Traverse Vendor Compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of warehouse receiving experience required.
• 3 year of office or administrative experience required.
• Machine operation experience; or certification on a high-lift required within 30 days.
• Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications required.
• Ability to create and maintain accuracy reports.
• Ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department.
• Pre-employment screening includes background check.

Responsibilities

• Audit receiving transactions and reports; identify root causes of errors to reduce NAS inventory.
• Unravel and tag merchandise lacking tags in the receiving bays.
• Audit tagged merchandise to resolve discrepancies from tagging errors.
• Collaborate with Receiving, Machine Operations, Warehouse Supervisors and Inventory Control to reconcile errors.
• Support accounts payable and warehouse staff regarding receiving issues.

Pay Range: $18.58 - 23.13 hourly

Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

As NFM’s Field Auditor you will conduct physical merchandise counts and audit exception reports to address errors. Perform spot audits on staff tagging to ensure accurate product receiving. Collaborate closely with departments like receiving, merchandising, accounts payable, NAS coordination, cycle auditing, and warehouse personnel. Responsibilities include documenting item discrepancies, capturing photos, entering audits into Traverse Vendor Compliance, checking in NFM shipments, processing add-on trailer books, and supporting other warehouse tasks as needed.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

• Play your Part Audit receiving transactions and reports - use problem solving tools to look for root causes of errors with the objective to bring about changes to reduce errors, improve accuracy and minimize NAS inventory
• Unravel Research, resolve and tag merchandise without tags that are found in the receiving bays
• Be Precise Audit the merchandise that has been previously tagged by the receiving department - resolve discrepancies that are found due to tagging errors
• Collaborate Work with Receiving, Machine Operations, Warehouse Supervisors and Inventory Control Supervisor as needed to reconcile errors
• Support Serve as a resource person to accounts payable, operators, supervisors, and managers regarding receiving issues

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age
• 3 years of warehouse receiving experience required
• 3 year of office or administrative experience required
• Machine operation experience; or certification on a high-lift required within 30 days
• Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office Applications required
• Ability to create and maintain accuracy reports
• Ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department
• Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check
