Job summary

Kokosing Materials, Inc. is seeking a versatile Plant Operator to support asphalt production across central Ohio plants and terminals. The role requires hands-on maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure safe, efficient operation of hot-mix asphalt facilities.

The candidate will work day-to-day in indoor/outdoor settings, with first shift and potential nights/weekends, and must uphold OSHA/MSHA safety standards while collaborating with team members to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of Asphalt Plant Operations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Must have cutting and welding experience (Mig, Tig & Stick) and be able to pass certification.
• Must have mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to interpret drawings, welding symbols & specifications.
• Crane rigging and signaling certification.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Lockout tagout experience and/or certification.
• Class B CDL
• Able to operate manlifts and work in elevated areas.
• Possess a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings on demand.
• Must be able to work alone or with large groups of team members.
• Able to work in all environments. Wind, rain, snow, heat, cold, loud areas, etc.
• Able to lift 75 lbs
• Able to climb ladders and work at various heights up to 135'
• Able to solve problems

Summary

• The individual will be working at various asphalt plants and terminals in the Central Ohio region, supporting production of hot-mix asphalt through plant upgrades, maintenance and repairs.
• Working environment is a combination of indoor and outdoor.

Shift: 1st shift with potential for nights and weekends.
