Job summary

Kokosing Materials, Inc. is seeking a Plant Maintenance/Loader position to support hot-mix asphalt production across Central Ohio plants and terminals. The role involves plant upgrades, maintenance, and repairs, with a mix of indoor and outdoor work and first shift, potential for nights and weekends.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of asphalt plant operations, welding, mechanical skills, and the ability to read drawings. Safety is a core priority and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of Asphalt Plant Operations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Must have cutting and welding experience (MIG, TIG & Stick) and pass certification.
• Must have mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to interpret drawings, welding symbols & specifications.

• Work both efficiently and safely while adhering to OSHA/MSHA guidelines.

Job Description

Summary

• The individual will be working at various asphalt plants and terminals in the Central Ohio region, supporting production of hot-mix asphalt through plant upgrades, maintenance and repairs.
• Working environment is a combination of indoor and outdoor.

Shift: 1st shift with potential for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of Asphalt Plant Operations
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Must have cutting and welding experience (Mig, Tig & Stick) and be able to pass certification
• Must have mechanical knowledge
• Ability to interpret drawings, welding symbols & specifications
• Crane rigging and signaling certification
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Lockout tagout experience and/or certification
• Class B CDL
• Able to operate manlifts and work in elevated areas
• Possess a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings on demand
• Must be able to work alone or with large groups of team members
• Able to work in all environments. Wind, rain, snow, heat, cold, loud areas, etc.
• Able to lift 75 lbs
• Able to climb ladders and work at various heights up to 135'
• Able to solve problems
