Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is hiring an Archaeological Field Technician to support survey efforts in Fresno, CA. The role involves field surveys, construction monitoring, and recording cultural resources for a six-month, full-time term.

Responsibilities include long-distance fieldwork, soil screening, and coordinating with clients and subconsultants. A BA in Anthropology is required, with MA preferred; travel across CA and neighboring states is expected.

Competenze

• BA in Anthropology or related field required; MA preferred.
• 2+ years of field experience in cultural resources management.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Northern/Southern California and neighboring states.
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123.
• Experience with site testing (STPs/STUs) and field surveys.

Mansioni

• Walk long distances up to 10 miles per day across varied terrain.
• Lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Conduct archaeological monitoring during construction and document resources.
• Maintain field notes and update records; coordinate with ERM staff and clients.
• Perform shovel testing and subsurface excavations; screen soils.
