Job summary

Arcadis in the United States is seeking an Archaeologist to support environmental planning projects in the California Central Valley, San Luis Obispo and Fresno areas. You will conduct fieldwork, including survey, testing, excavation and monitoring, and prepare technical reports for diverse projects and clients.

Work will be done in a hybrid environment, with travel to project sites across California and up to 50% field time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in anthropology/archaeology.
• 2+ years of experience in cultural resources management.
• California field experience and GPS data collection knowledge.
• Understanding of California tribes, culture areas, and material culture.
• Knowledge of cultural resources regulations and environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Conduct archaeological fieldwork including monitoring and surveys.
• Prepare technical documents and reports for projects.
• Manage field crews on larger projects as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental planning.
