Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate/Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, or Horticulture.
• Pursuing ISA arborist certification; ISA certification preferred.
• ISA Utility Specialist certification preferred.
• Tree identification skills and map reading ability.
• Positive, proactive demeanor and professional appearance.
• Safety-focused, able to work with minimal oversight outdoors.
• Able to work alone or in teams in various weather/terrain.
• Tech-savvy with basic computer and smartphone use.
• Capable of operating a 4x4 vehicle on rough roads.

Responsibilities

• Assesses vegetation around powerlines and plans work to meet utility standards.
• Collects data on unit counts, species, conditions, and GPS locations.
• Communicates with tree owners about upcoming vegetation management work.
• Collaborates with Removal Negotiation Experts and/or foresters as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
