Job summary

Atlas Field Service is seeking Consulting Utility Arborists in the DFW area to inspect vegetation management on electric utility rights‑of‑way and to respond to storm events. The role involves identifying hazardous trees, inspecting lines for clearance, and documenting visits for customers and landowners.

Qualified candidates hold forestry-related degrees, with ISA Arborist certification and Texas Pesticide Licenses preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate or Bachelor degree in forestry, horticulture, or related field.
• ISA Arborist certification within 3.5 years is desirable.
• Texas Pesticide Applicator’s License is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver license and outdoor work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Identify dead or dying trees affected by drought or environmental factors.
• Inspect overhead power lines for vegetation clearance.
• Perform post‑inspection and post‑tree trimming work verification.
• Assess property and prescribe VM work per guidelines.
• Communicate with customers/landowners about VM practices and plans.
• Respond to storm events and manage VM Storm Desk communications.
• Support on special projects as assigned by the utility.

Education

Associate or Bachelor degree in forestry, horticulture, or related field

ISA Arborist certification (within 3.5 years)

Texas Pesticide Applicator’s License
