Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting seeks Apprentice Technicians for the Cleveland and Pittsburgh areas. No prior experience required; you’ll work in a two-person crew with a lead technician and receive on-the-job and factory training to learn doors and dock equipment.

You’ll install and service commercial and industrial doors and dock systems, troubleshoot controls, and build toward a lead technician role while earning a signing bonus and benefits. Mon–Fri schedule, home nightly.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; helper, general labor, warehouse, construction backgrounds welcome.
• Willingness to learn and absorb new skills daily.
• Positive, team-first attitude and steady work history.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Able to pass DOT physical and DOT drug testing.
• Willing to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all seasons.

Responsibilities

• Install and service commercial/industrial doors, including high-speed and sectional overhead doors.
• Install and service loading dock equipment and lift devices.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls and HMI panels with lead technician.
• Handle a mix of service calls and new installations; minimal planned maintenance.
• Report to shop each morning; travel to customer sites in company vehicle.
• Earn manufacturer factory training and lift certifications; grow into lead technician role.
