Job summary

Abselion is seeking a Field Application Scientist to engage customers, run hands-on demonstrations of Amperia, and drive adoption in the US and Canada.

You will own the technical sales process, translate customer needs into compelling demos, and build our US field applications function from the ground up, reporting to the CEO. Expect to travel extensively, build a strong demo pipeline, and collaborate with Sales, R&D, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• MS in a relevant field + 3+ years industry or PhD + 1+ year.
• FAS/Specialist experience is a bonus.
• Experience with protein quantification methods: ELISA, BLI, SPR, SEC-HPLC.
• Excellent pipetting and time‑pressured experimentation.
• Clear, confident communication with scientific audiences.
• Based in the Greater Boston area and eligible to work in the US.
• US work authorization; no immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from first call to adoption.
• Run discovery calls to understand workflows and challenges.
• Translate requirements into targeted demo proposals.
• Plan and deliver hands-on demonstrations across US/Canada.
• Transport, set up, and run Amperia on site.
• Partner with Sales through full sales cycle.
• Represent Abselion at conferences in US/Canada.
• Feedback to Science, Product, Sales, Marketing teams.
• Help build the US field applications function.
• Travel to the UK periodically for training.
