Job summary

Miltenyi Biotec is seeking a Field Applications Scientist to support customers across Miltenyi’s flow cytometry, imaging, and clinical cell and gene therapy platforms. The role bridges pre‑sales and post‑sales activities, collaborating with Sales, Technical Support, Product Management and Service to ensure a seamless customer experience.

The FAS will work in a matrix organization, traveling within the assigned territory to provide demonstrations, training, and application‑specific support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in biological sciences, cellular therapy, flow cytometry, microscopy/spatial biology, or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with cellular therapy/cell and gene therapy, flow cytometry, or microscopy/spatial biology.
• Customer‑facing experience in field applications or technical support is strongly preferred.
• Clinical or regulated environments experience is a plus where applicable.
• Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation, data analysis, and workflow optimization within life science applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales team to understand customer requirements and design technical solutions.
• Perform onsite and virtual product demonstrations for instruments and applications.
• Provide technical presentations to support evaluation, selection and adoption of Miltenyi instruments and consumables.
• Act as primary field technical support for assigned instrument portfolios with onsite installation and initial end‑user training.
