Job summary

CalAmp is seeking a field-facing technical leader to partner with customers, sales, product, and engineering to drive expert guidance, support solution adoption, and outcomes across the customer journey.

You will serve as a trusted technical resource, translating customer needs into actionable solutions and sharing market/product insights with leadership. This role involves travel to support customer and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Five+ years in field applications, technical sales support, or customer-facing engineering.
• Ability to convey complex tech clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience building relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving across multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
• Experience demonstrating products and evaluating technical deployments.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers to evaluate and optimize solutions.
• Collaborate with sales to understand requirements and present capabilities effectively.
• Deliver product demonstrations and tailored technical guidance.
• Assist with troubleshooting and escalation in partnership with internal teams.
• Gather feedback and communicate insights to product and engineering teams.
• Maintain strong customer relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
• Contribute to training materials, application notes, and technical resources.
• Improve cross-functional processes, product readiness, and customer experience.
• Represent CalAmp at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
• Lead and coach field applications team toward performance and development goals.
