Job summary

Emerson seeks a Field Application Engineer who balances face‑to‑face customer engagements, technical activities, and voice‑of‑the‑customer feedback. You will be a trusted technical consultant across industries, guiding account strategy and coordinating technical work in the Los Angeles, CA area. The role is funded as 80% base salary and 20% variable pay.

Travel up to 25% regionally and to Austin, TX. By year one, you should complete NI hardware classes and earn CLD and CTD certifications; U.S.

Qualifications

• BS degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).
• 5 years of Test and Measurement industry experience.
• 3 years of software programming experience.
• Willing and able to travel – Regionally and to Austin, TX up to 25% of time.

Responsibilities

• Building key technical relationships at top accounts by demonstrating credibility that increases customer confidence in NI.
• Understanding and assisting in creation of customer technical requirements.
• Providing recommendations on software and hardware architectures for test systems.
• Collaborating with NI Account Managers to lead development of account technical strategy.
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders to execute account technical initiatives.
