Quintech Electronics & Communications, Inc. in Pittsburgh is seeking Field Applications Engineers to help customers implement and adapt the latest communications and signal processing equipment.

The role blends technical know-how with strong customer service, in-house and at customer sites. Travel up to 75% to install, maintain, and upgrade systems; provide on-site and remote support; collaborate with sales and engineering; document activities and assist with training.

Qualifications

• US citizen is required.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in computer science or equivalent.
• Up to 75% travel to customer sites.
• Experience with device control interfaces such as I2C, SPI, USB, PCIe, Ethernet.
• Familiar with Data Communication Network and Layer 2/3 protocols.
• Knowledge of Python and JavaScript.
• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Shell scripting (Bash) and Unix/Linux.
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and version control (Git, SVN).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, VirtualBox, KVM).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for installation, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support for deployment and operation.
• Serve as primary customer contact, communicating feedback and needs.
• Act as liaison between customers and internal teams, especially sales and engineers.
• Document service activities, system performance, and customer feedback clearly.
• Support technical training and onboarding for customers when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to company policies.
