Nexus Semiconductor Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Applications Engineer for a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA. The position focuses on power electronics, PMICs, and board-level architectures, with significant travel and direct support to sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in power electronics applications engineering, power semiconductors, or PMICs.
• Strong board-level power semiconductor or PMIC experience; system-level power supply experience alone is not sufficient.
• FAE or Applications Engineering experience with customer-facing and sales-support responsibilities.
• Experience promoting semiconductor products and working closely with sales teams.
• Strong understanding of analog design principles.
• Hands-on electronics experience, including product evaluation and schematic review.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Based in or near San Jose, or willing to relocate.

Our client is an established semiconductor company specializing in analog ICs, power semiconductors, and power management solutions for computing, telecommunications, automotive, aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

This hybrid role is based in San Jose, California, with four days per week in the office and Fridays remote.
