Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Field Applications Engineer Level 2 to support pre- and post-sales activities for industrial metrology systems in North America. The role involves technical demonstrations, training, and collaboration with sales teams to apply advanced ZEISS hardware and software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in engineering or physics, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics is required.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and 3D math is expected.
• Ability to read and understand GD&T, SPC concepts, and to program or script in modern scientific languages.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation to field sales personnel and the IM dealer network.
• Facilitate the flow and accuracy of technical information to the field sales force.
• Maintain a focus on advanced applications and new ZEISS technology.
• Support the introduction of new products into the North American Market.
• Provide technical training programs to the field sales personnel and IM dealer network.
• Plan, prepare, and perform high quality customer demonstrations, both in-house and in the field as needed.
• Provide technical after-sales support for customers to help ensure successful use of ZEISS systems.
• Provide customer training as needed to supplement the Applications Engineering staff.
• Respond to customer software/applications support questions.
• Aid with software & system testing in support of product development.
