Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Seattle, WA seeks a Field Applications Engineer to support Tier 1 Data Center clients. You will lead technical aspects of the sales cycle, create design-in materials, and provide in-depth engineering support for power interconnect architectures.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years of customer-facing design experience, and proficiency with Creo/SolidWorks. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)

• Experience providing product marketing and technical support to produce design wins; strong Power interconnect focus

We are currently seeking a Field Applications Engineer to support ourTier 1 Data Center clients. The position will be basedin the Seattle, WA area.

Responsibilities

• Engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle; discovery,design,prototyping, and production
• Providing technical marketing support for the development anddesign-inof Commercial Products, including internal/externalpower,memory, storage, and internal IO
• Prepare andparticipateintechnical presentations
• Including 3d-CAD modeling and manipulation
• Develop customer-facing material that is application specific
• Provide customer supportforall technical inquiries; provide product solutionsto address customer concerns
• Help devise strategieesto differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors
• Meet and exceed strategic objectives
• Some travel will berequired

Education/ Experience

• Bachelor's Degreein an Engineering discipline or other technical equivalent
• ElectricalorMechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experiencein customer-facing Design or Applications Engineering ofelectrical hardware components/interconnect solutions industry
• Experienceproviding product marketingand technical support to produce design wins
• Strong preference for experience with Power interconnect and Power architecture applications
