Job summary

Amphenol Corporation’s Commercial Group seeks a Field Applications Engineer to support large Enterprise and Consumer Company with interconnect solutions. The role interfaces with customers, product development, product marketing, and the sales team to deliver world-class interconnect solutions.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree and 2+ years in design or applications engineering, with strong communication, presentation, and project management skills. Some travel to U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or other technical equivalent.
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of design or applications engineering experience in electrical hardware components/interconnect solutions.
• Experience providing product marketing and technical support to produce design wins.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle; discovery, design, prototyping, and production.
• Provide technical marketing support for development and design in products including power, memory, storage, and internal IO.
• Prepare and participate in delivering technical presentations to the customer.
• Develop customer-facing material that is application specific.
• Provide customer support for all technical inquiries; provide product solutions to address customer concerns.
• Help devise strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from competitors.
• Meet and exceed strategic objectives.
• Some travel will be required to other customer or Amphenol locations in the US or Taiwan.

The Company designs, manufactures and markets electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems. The primary end markets for the Company's products are communications and information processing. Including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication, storage, and information processing systems; aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications.

The FAE engineering team interfaces with customers, internal product development, product marketing, and the extended salesteamto provideworld-class interconnectsolutions to our customers.

Education/ Experience:

• Bachelor's Degreein an Engineering discipline or other technical equivalent
  • Electrical Engineering, Mechanical EngineeringPreferred
• 2+ years' experiencein Design or Applications Engineering ofelectrical hardware components/interconnect solutions industry
• Experienceproviding product marketingand technical support to produce design wins
