Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Field Applications Engineer in the Seattle area. You will lead the technical aspects of the sales cycle, design-in activities, prototyping, and production support for data center and interconnect applications.

You will prepare technical presentations, create CAD models in Creo/SolidWorks, and develop customer-facing materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background with 5+ years in customer-facing design/Applications Engineering of electrical hardware components.
• Experience providing product marketing and technical support to produce design wins.

Responsibilities

• Act as engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle, including discovery, design, prototyping, and production.
• Provide technical marketing support for development and design-in of Commercial Products, including power, memory, storage and IO.
• Prepare and participate in technical presentations.
• Create 3D-CAD models and manipulate designs.
• Develop customer-facing material tailored to specific applications.
• Assist customers with technical inquiries and provide product solutions.

We are currently seeking a Field Applications Engineerto support ourTier 1 Data Center clients. The position will be based in the Seattle, WA area.

Responsibilities

• Engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle; discovery,design,prototyping, and production
• Providing technical marketing support for the development anddesign-inof Commercial Products, including internal/externalpower,memory, storage, and internal IO
• Prepare and participate in technical presentations
• Including 3d-CAD modeling and manipulation
• Develop customer-facing material that is application specific
• Provide customer supportforall technical inquiries; provide product solutionsto address customer concerns
• Help devise strategiesto differentiate our products and solutions from our competitors
• Meet and exceed strategic objectives
• Some travel will be required

Education/ Experience

• Bachelor's Degreein an Engineering discipline or other technical equivalent
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experiencein customer-facing Design or Applications Engineering ofelectrical hardware components/interconnect solutions industry
• Experienceproviding product marketingand technical support to produce design wins
• Strong preference for experience with Power interconnect and Power architecture applications
