Job summary

Power Integrations is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join the Central Europe Sales organization, reporting to the Field Sales Team in Germany and Italy. You will assist the Sales Team technically to increase market penetration and design wins by providing technical support to key customers and helping them design-in PI solutions that fit their requirements.

Qualifications

• BSEE or higher in Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum two years’ experience designing High Voltage Switch Mode Power Supply.
• Background of power electronics combined with practical knowledge of switch mode power supplies.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel 30%.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality technical support and advisory to customers via online and on-site meetings to maintain our leading edge.
• Provide application and design support to assigned key customers.
• Optimize customers’ designs, recommending changes for improvements.
• Produce customized designs and hardware to meet customers’ requirements.
• Conduct periodic technical workshops with customers to showcase PI latest technology solutions.
• Support Sales Team technically in the region to increase number of Design Wins and revenue.

Field Applications Engineer

Objective of the role

The Field Applications Engineer will be part of the Central Europe Sales organization reporting to the Field Sales Team in Germany and Italy. This individual will assist the Sales Team technically to increase Power Integrations’ market penetration and design wins by providing technical support to key customers, helping them choose and design-in PI solutions which fit their requirements. In this role, the expected amount of travel visiting customers is 30%.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality technical support and advisory to customers via online and on-site meetings to maintain our leading edge in the marketplace.
• Provide application and design support to assigned key customers.
• Optimize customers’ designs, recommending changes for improvements.
• Produce customized designs and hardware to meet customers’ requirements.
• Conduct periodical technical workshops with customers to showcase PI latest technology solutions.
• Support Sales Team technically in the region to increase number of Design Wins and revenue.

Requirements

• BSEE or higher (MSc preferred) in Electronics Engineering
• Minimum two years’ experience designing High Voltage Switch Mode Power Supply
• Demonstrable background of power electronics combined with practical knowledge of switch mode power supplies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and keen commercial awareness
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English is mandatory.
