Job summary

Power Integrations is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to join our North American Sales team, based in the Western US region. In this role you will serve as the technical lead, helping engineers select the right products and optimize implementations.

Candidates should hold a BSEE or equivalent (MSEE preferred), have 2–3 years of sales engineering experience, knowledge of AC-DC power conversion, magnetics, EMI/Safety, and be willing to travel up to 40% for on-site customer support.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent required; MSEE preferred.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a sales engineering role desired.
• AC-DC power conversion design experience preferred.
• Demonstrated magnetics design experience is a plus.
• Experience in markets like UPS, Solid State Lighting, Metering, Appliances, Cell Phone chargers, Industrial controls, Notebook or PC Power Supplies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for field applications within the North American Sales team.
• Assist customers in selecting the right products and optimizing implementations.
• Perform bench work to breadboard and test solutions for customers.
