Job summary

Clinical Search Group, LLC seeks a Field Application Specialist for laboratory diagnostics in the Chicago area. You will serve as the applications expert for instrumentation and assays, troubleshoot and train customers and distributors, and partner with Account Managers to run demos and implementations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences or related field, plus 2+ years with lab equipment. A company car is provided and travel is regional, often extensive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, MLS/MT, or related field.
• ASCP MLS/MT certification is a plus.
• At least 2 years with lab or diagnostic instrumentation.
• Hands-on lab technology experience preferred.
• Field-based support experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as applications expert for instrumentation and assays.
• Troubleshoot, train, and support customers and distributors.

• Lead local training sessions.
• Regional travel 50% (up to 80% at times).

• Jump in as the applications expert for instrumentation and assays
• Troubleshoot, train, and support customers and distributors
• Team up with Account Managers to run demos and successful implementations
• Lead local training sessions (yes, you get to teach!)
• Regional overnight travel 50% but could be up to 80% some weeks
• Be the workflow + functionality guru that customers rely on

What You Bring

• A Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science, or a similar field
• MLT or MLS/MT (ASCP) certification = a big plus
• At least 2 years working with lab or diagnostic equipment/instrumentation
• Hands‑on experience in lab technology? Even better
• Field based support experience
