Job summary

SCIENION is seeking a Field Application Scientist to join our Global Service & Support team. You will install instruments, provide application and technical support, and train customers, with travel exceeding 50% to sites worldwide. Remote USA work arrangement is offered.

The role combines scientific expertise with hands-on instrument support, collaboration with Sales, Service, and Product teams, and professional development opportunities in life sciences instrumentation.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Life Sciences or related discipline.
  • Experience in a life sciences or laboratory environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-relations abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Install SCIENION instruments at customer sites and perform Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Provide on-site and remote application support for customers using the sciFLEXARRAYER platform.
  • Troubleshoot technical and application-related issues to ensure optimal instrument performance.
  • Deliver customer training on instrument operation, applications, and best practices.
  • Support the Sales team by providing technical expertise during customer evaluations and demonstrations.
  • Prepare customer quotations for service and application support when required.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for recurring issues.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate improvement opportunities to internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, including service reports, troubleshooting records, user manuals, training materials, and ISO documentation.
  • Manage customer cases and communication through the Helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Service & Support.
  • Travel more than 50% domestically and internationally.

In this role, you will combine scientific expertise with technical problem-solving to support customers throughout the lifecycle of our advanced dispensing and instrumentation platforms.You will install instruments, provide application and technical support, deliver customer training, troubleshoot complex issues, and work closely with Sales, Service, and Product teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
