Job summary

Pepperl+Fuchs is seeking a Field Application Engineer for Process Automation Solutions (Explosion Protection | HMI | Ethernet-APL). You will advise customers, design tailored automation solutions and support sales from discovery to delivery.

You will collaborate with international centers, conduct trainings, and help launch new products while traveling within the region. Fluency in German and good English are expected.

Qualifications

• Multiple years in technical sales, application engineering or project work.
• Strong process automation knowledge; Ex protection, HMI, Ethernet-APL a plus.
• Willingness to travel within the sales region.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine customer-specific Process Automation Solutions with customers and international Competence Centers, especially Ex protection, HMI and Ethernet-APL.
• Provide technical advice and sales support on demanding projects from requirements analysis to implementation.
• Coordinate technical requirements as the interface between customers, sales, centers, product mgmt and development.
• Identify, evaluate and implement new customer applications and contribute to product launches.
• Deliver technical trainings, workshops, trade shows and product presentations.
• Collaborate in the Expert team and document/share successful customer solutions and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of methods, KPIs and processes in the matrix organization.

Field Application Engineer (m/w/d) – Process Automation Solutions (Explosion Protection | HMI | Ethernet-APL)

Diese Aufgaben warten auf Sie:

• Entwicklung und Ausarbeitung kundenspezifischer Process Automation Solutions gemeinsam mit Kunden und unseren internationalen Competence Centern – insbesondere in den Bereichen Explosion Protection Solutions (Ex-Steuerungen, Purge & Pressurization), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) sowie Ethernet-APL
• Technische Beratung und Unterstützung des Vertriebs bei anspruchsvollen Kundenprojekten – von der Anforderungsanalyse bis zur erfolgreichen Umsetzung
• Koordination technischer Anforderungen als Schnittstelle zwischen Kunden, Vertrieb, Competence Centern, Produktmanagement und der Entwicklung
• Unterstützung bei der Identifikation, Bewertung und Umsetzung neuer Kundenapplikationen sowie Mitwirkung bei der Markteinführung neuer Produkte und Technologien
• Durchführung technischer Kundenschulungen, Workshops, Messeauftritte und Produktpräsentationen
• Aktive Mitarbeit im Expertise Team sowie Dokumentation und Weitergabe erfolgreicher Kundenlösungen und Best Practices
• Mitarbeit an der kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung unserer Methoden, KPIs und Prozesse innerhalb unserer Matrixorganisation

Diese Qualifikationen bringen Sie mit:

• Abgeschlossenes technisches Studium oder vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung im technischen Vertrieb, Application Engineering oder Projektgeschäft
• Gute Kenntnisse in der Prozessautomation, idealerweise in den Bereichen Explosion Protection Solutions, HMI, Ethernet-APL oder industrieller Kommunikation
• Ausgeprägtes technisches Verständnis sowie Freude an komplexen Kundenlösungen
• Selbstständige, strukturierte und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
• Kommunikationsstärke, Teamfähigkeit und sicheres Auftreten beim Kunden
• Reisebereitschaft innerhalb der Vertriebsregion
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse
