Job summary

Nordic Semiconductor in Chicago seeks a Field Application Engineer to enable customers to use Nordic technology across embedded applications. You will be a technical resource for internal and external teams, helping design-in Nordic solutions and respond to technical inquiries.

The role emphasizes strong customer communication, independence, and collaboration with regional sales, distributors, and product teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Minimum 4 years of embedded software development experience with hardware knowledge.
• Experience with ARM microcontrollers and wireless protocols.

Responsibilities

• Create and present Nordic’s value proposition to customers.
• Understand customer applications and use cases.
• Collaborate with sales, distributors and representatives to design‑in Nordic solutions.
• Respond to technical inquiries with timely solutions.
• Serve as a technical expert in the sales team.
• Develop and own key technical customer relationships.
