Job summary

DEWESoft, LLC is seeking an Application Engineer to support field industrial/electrical applications remotely in the U.S. You will bridge hardware and software for complex measurements and diagnostics, traveling to customer sites across the U.S. and Canada.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, collaboration with automation engineers and OEMs, and acting as the technical lead during demonstrations and field trials. DEWESoft offers strong rewards and autonomy.

Qualifications

5–7 years of hands-on field or test engineering experience.
2–4 year degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation/Controls, Mechatronics, or related STEM field.
Solid command of 3-phase circuits, signal conditioning, high-voltage transducers, current clamps, Rogowski coils, encoder signals.
Hands-on experience with VFDs, PLCs, and industrial bus architectures (CAN, Modbus, OPC UA).
Willingness to travel 50% of the time to customer sites across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

Architect Tailored Test Configurations with automation engineers, system integrators, and OEM developers.
Run Live Proof-of-Concepts at customer sites, connecting to VFDs, PLCs, encoders, and sensors.
Bridge the gap between DAQ and automation; integrate data capture with plant-floor systems using CAN, Modbus, OPC UA, EtherCAT.
Co-Pilot the Sales Process by supporting demonstrations, technical deep dives, and client training.
Guide Product R&D by voicing industrial engineer requirements to the development team.
