Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Field Application Engineer for Intelligent Power Systems (IPS). You will serve as the technical resource for UPS, PCS, AiO, BESS, PDUs, and STS, and collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Service teams to design, integrate, and support solutions across customer lifecycles.

Travel up to 30% across North America is required; the ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in critical power infrastructure and data-center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5+ years supporting UPS systems, PCS, AiO solutions, BESS, power distribution, or critical power infrastructure.
• Experience with three-phase and single-phase electrical systems and mission-critical power applications.
• Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems (120V–690V).

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for Delta IPS portfolio: UPS, PCS, AiO, BESS, PDUs, STS.
• Support sales with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations.
• Assist customers with system sizing, electrical design, power distribution, and redundancy architectures (N, N+1, 2N).
• Support commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT, and post-installation technical support.
• Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, and Global Engineering to improve products and resolve issues.
• Develop technical documentation and deliver training for customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Travel up to 30% across North America for customer support, commissioning, and training.
