Job summary

STEPS TALENT LLC is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support DC/DC converter solutions for data centers, focusing on power electronics and system integration. You will work cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to drive design wins and accelerate adoption.

Engagement with OEM/ODM customers, translating requirements into specifications and providing technical training will be core duties, as you help customers progress from concept to validated implementations.

Qualifications

• Strong background in DC/DC converters and power electronics.
• Experience in field applications, solutions engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
• Knowledge of data center hardware and power systems.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for DC/DC converter applications, supporting customer design and integration.
• Partner with sales, product, and engineering teams to develop and position solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Engage with OEM/ODM customers early in the design cycle to drive design-ins.
• Translate customer needs into product specifications and system-level solutions.
• Provide technical training and develop training materials for internal teams and partners.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to track project progress.
• Support system validation, testing, and implementation activities.
• Monitor market trends and recommend new application opportunities.
• Identify risks and proactively communicate issues to stakeholders.
