Silicon Motion is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to support SSD, eMMC, and UFS products for key customers in Milpitas, CA. You will work closely with customers and the core engineering team to drive successful deployments.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration, with experience in NAND storage and related standards. On-site role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualificações

• 3+ years field support experience in semiconductor industry.
• Proficient in verbal, written and presentation skill.
• Familiar with system hardware design with good knowledge on schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Familiar with issue debugging by using Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer.
• Familiar with PC system architecture and Windows/Linux OS environment.
• Must enjoy working with dynamic people and building client relationship.
• Experience in NAND storage system debugging is a plus.
• Good knowledge of NAND flash, eMMC, UFS, SATA, PCIe and NVMe standard is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Python, Bash, and C++ is a plus.

This position will be responsible for supporting Solid State Drive, eMMC and UFS products for specific customers. This position will work closely with customers and collaborate with core engineering team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Competent to work independently with cross functional departments.
• Responsible for project managing including the technical relationship with the assigned customer. The FAE should be the go-to person for customer's technical contacts.
• Responsible for handling the first level for all technical matters including product discussions, issue clarification and duplication, troubleshooting, failure analysis
• Work with sales on managing customer project from kick off to production phase.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years field support experience in semiconductor industry
• Proficient in verbal, written and presentation skill
• Familiar with system hardware design with good knowledge on schematic capture and PCB layout
• Familiar with issue debugging by using Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, protocol analyzer

$140,000 - $180,000, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
