Job summary

Sagemcom is seeking a hands-on Field Application Engineer for our Dallas R&D team to support customer deployments, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with customers, R&D teams, modem vendors, and telecom carriers.

The role requires experience with embedded systems, IoT, and telecom products, plus strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks. You will analyze logs, reproduce issues, and validate fixes in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with embedded systems, IoT, connected devices, or telecom products.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, and cellular networks.
  • Experience with 4G/LTE/5G, modems, or connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze logs, reproduce issues, identify root causes, and validate fixes.
  • Experience supporting customer deployments, PoCs, field testing, or technical integrations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/related Engineering preferred.

Position Overview

Job title: Field Application Engineer

About the Role

Sagemcom is looking for a hands-on Field Application Engineer to support customer deployments, troubleshoot technical issues, and work closely with customers, R&D teams, modem vendors, and telecom carriers.

What we’re looking for:
  • Experience with embedded systems, IoT, connected devices, or telecom products
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks
  • Experience with 4G/LTE/5G, modems, or connectivity troubleshooting
  • Ability to analyze logs, reproduce issues, identify root causes, and validate fixes
  • Experience supporting customer deployments, PoCs, field testing, or technical integrations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and engineering teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field preferred

Experience with routers, gateways, CPEs, cellular modems, embedded Linux, Jira, or telecom operators would be a plus.
