As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) specializing in NAND flash and DRAM storage products, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our internal engineering teams and customers. You will provide technical expertise to customers, helping them integrate our memory storage solutions into their systems while ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This position requires a deep understanding of storage technologies, customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
You will work closely with the sales team, product managers, and engineering departments to deliver technical support solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware engineering, system architecture, and storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers during evaluation and integration phases of flash storage products.
- Product Integration: Guide customers through the technical process of integrating ATP storage products into their applications, ensuring proper configuration and compatibility with existing systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to ATP storage products in customer environments. Escalate complex problems to the appropriate internal teams when necessary.
- Training & Support: Conduct technical training sessions for customers, helping them fully understand the capabilities, features, and best practices for using ATP storage solutions.
- Customer Feedback: Gather customer feedback and collaborate with internal engineering and product development teams to improve product performance, reliability, and usability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, application notes, whitepapers, and FAQs to assist customers in the successful deployment of storage products.
- Market & Technology Awareness: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in flash storage technologies, industry trends, and competitor products to provide informed technical guidance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent education and experience is acceptable. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 2-5+ years of experience in field applications engineering, technical support, or related roles within the storage, semiconductor, or hardware industry.
- Proven experience with flash storage products such as SSDs, NAND flash, and DRAM technologies.
- Familiarity with storage interfaces such as NVMe, SATA, PCIe, and SCSI is required.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of storage technologies and architectures.
- Experience with system-level hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.) and storage system drivers.
Soft Skills:
- Strong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms for customers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Travel: Willingness to travel globally for customer visits, field support, and technical training sessions in the US, EU, India, and aTaiwan.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in technical sales support or product management.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems or data center solutions.
- Knowledge of security protocols related to flash storage (e.g., encryption, data protection).
