Qualifications

• Must obtain Euthanasia Technician Certification within six months of employment.
• Animal Health Technician certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas in the city to enforce animal services codes and regulations.
• Captures wild, stray, and unlicensed animals for impounding and transports them to the animal care shelter.
• Investigates complaints regarding nuisance, stray, dangerous, or diseased animals and issues citations.
• Prepares investigative and daily activity reports and refers cases for prosecution.
• Responds to public inquiries and provides public education on humane animal services.
