Job summary

Synergy3 in New Jersey is hiring an Air Sealing & Insulation Technician to perform hands-on weatherization work in homes across our service area. You'll seal air leaks, insulate, run blower door tests, and verify results, in hot attics and tight crawl spaces, taking pride in craftsmanship and meeting the project plan.

You will document your work, lead peers when needed, coordinate with project managers, and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in air sealing, insulation, weatherization, or building performance work.
• Proficiency with blower door testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Working knowledge of air sealing, blow-in/dense-pack insulation methods, and home energy efficiency principles.
• Takes pride in their craft and stands behind the quality of their own work.
• Valid NJ driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable with digital documentation (photos, readings, logs).
• Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP/CRM systems is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for crew leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on air sealing and insulation work, including blow-in and dense-pack insulation, air sealing, and weatherization.
• Run blower door tests and diagnostics to verify your own air-sealing results before and after work.
• Participate in daily on-site activities, ensuring your work progresses according to schedule and the daily plan.
• Check your own work against standards before leaving each job and own the quality of installation.
• Document completed work with photos, readings, and sign-offs; train and mentor newer technicians as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Invoice completed jobs accurately in Oracle NetSuite, ensuring billing matches work performed.
