Job summary

Intuit is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to embed with customers, building production automation that ties AI agents to real general ledger workflows. You will work across pre-sale, post-sale, and expansion phases, leading technical evaluations, deployments, and customer enablement.

You'll partner with Sales and Success teams, architect customer-specific AI Agent configurations, and drive value realization in enterprise finance environments. Travel up to 70% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Forward Deployed Engineering or equivalent
• Deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations
• Strong technical fluency; collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers
• Proven track record of multiple deployments under delivery pressure
• Comfort leading technical troubleshooting calls with customers and internal IT teams
• Able to translate ambiguity into executable requirements
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management
• Ability to operate on both sides of the signature (pre-sale and production)

Responsibilities

• Pre-sale: build the proof-of-value directly in the prospect's data and systems
• Partner with Account Executives from first technical touch; run discovery
• Lead the technical evaluation: architecture, security/compliance reviews, RFP responses
• Build the technical narrative and ROI case with Sales; present to CFOs and Controllers
• Flag technical or data-readiness risk early to scope and price accurately
• Post-sale: architect and deploy customer-specific AI Agent configurations
• Troubleshoot: review Python, write SQL for integrations, diagnose issues
• Maintain SLAs for response/resolution; document issues thoroughly
• Lead transformation engagements with finance teams to identify ROI opportunities
• Travel to customer sites up to 70% for pre-sale and deployments
• Shape product by feeding customer feedback to Core Engineering
