Job summary

Verona is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to translate enterprise problems into production AI systems at client sites in the New York area. You will own the delivery from discovery through rollout, collaborating with customers to shape architecture and ensure measurable impact.

You will write production code, influence product and technical decisions, and travel to customer environments as engagements require. This role demands strong software fundamentals and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Production-grade software development experience.
• Experience deploying AI/LLM solutions in production.
• Ability to engage with customers and translate requirements into technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements end to end from discovery to rollout.
• Learn customer workflows, data, and constraints to identify high-value interventions.
• Build and integrate production apps, data pipelines, and guardrails inside client environments.
• Collaborate with end users to validate assumptions and improve system outcomes.
• Define and measure technical and business success, including adoption and cost.
• Surface customer needs to Verona teams to drive reusable capabilities.
