Job summary

United Central Industrial Supply is seeking an Account Manager (Field / Outside Sales) to promote and sell industrial supplies within the St. Louis, MO metropolitan area. The role emphasizes territory planning, customer visits, and cross-functional promotion of product lines.

A HS diploma is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and 1+ year of outside sales experience in industrial supplies. Travel may be required, and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial outside sales experience.
• Track record of progressive sales accomplishments.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Market planning and research to determine opportunities with core and target accounts within territory.
• Work with branch managers to promote product lines to core/target accounts.
• Develop action plans for territory to capture major share of business.
• Call upon and visit customer sites daily to ascertain needs, take orders and promote offerings.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control regarding stock levels and obsolete inventory.
