Job summary

The SYGMA Network within Sysco seeks a Field Account Manager to serve an assigned territory, maintaining customer relations and driving value-added services. Frequent car travel and some air travel are required, with insurance requirements to be maintained.

You will build relationships, conduct business reviews with key customers, and train clients on CYGNET and Sysco tools, while coordinating with DCs and management for service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of direct customer account management.
• 5–10 years of customer service focused management or foodservice sales preferred.
• Experience in food distribution can substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer relations through personal contact and calls.
• Provide customer-focused distribution and value-added services to customers.
• Meet with key customers and perform business reviews as needed.
• Enhance sales by account penetration and full line purchasing.
• Strengthen relationships with Customers, Franchise Owners, and DC personnel.
• Respond to customer concerns with corrective action and urgency.
• Foster proactive communication about delays or outages.
• Present to large groups and conduct startup meetings with new Customers.
• Train Customers on The SYGMA Network website.
• Maintain communications with department heads about customer activities.
• Monitor service levels and drive continual improvement.
• Check competitive activity and inform SYGMA management.
• Record activities and produce reports.
• Conduct CYGNET online order entry training as needed.
