A3IM works closely with customers’ in-house subject matter experts to increase value, improve supplier relationships, reduce spend, optimize existing budgets, and increase the efficiency of operations. We do this by using proven sourcing and purchasing strategies, best practices, innovative technologies, and an unsurpassed knowledge of market intelligence and relationships to help our clients achieve the maximum level of savings possible. As a Field Account Manager, you will have regular contact with our customers and suppliers. You will interact daily with instrument and maintenance personnel within chemical plants and refineries. This role does require a base level of technical aptitude of industry standards. This role is key in developing relationships and ensuring program success. The position is fast paced and requires excellent communication, critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask. The Job:

  • Drive and support new product and service sales with existing new MRO customers, as well as with project-based clients
  • Understands customer and partner decision making roles, responsibilities, duties, priorities, and boundaries.
  • Work with Strategic Account Manager to develop, present, and implement annual business plans to deliver incremental sales growth
  • Proactively schedules and conducts discovery calls to ensure we understand our customers’ needs and are putting processes in place to ensure 5 Star Service
    • Responds to customers’ needs providing quick, reliable service which exceeds expectations
    • Reviews service level report cards and identifies areas for improvement
    • Pursues new opportunities, upcoming projects and turnarounds
    • Performs site, application and shop “walk throughs” to clarify needs
    • Follows up meetings documenting customer requirements and action items
    • Works on proposal and quote development, with follow-up and analysis
    • Perform filed product demonstrations and training for end users.
    • Manage trade show and event opportunities with customer and technical partners.
  • Proactively reaches out to partner personnel (manufacturer and distributor) to participate in customer activities to ensure win-win relationships
  • Works regularly with key technical partners to win market share and align with customers goals
  • Works with commercial teams to ensure customer pricing contracts are comprehensive and in alignment with contract requirements
  • Proactively works to build Trusted Resource Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2-year associate degree or equivalent industry experience (5+ years)
  • In depth knowledge of Oil/Gas/Chemical and Renewable energies market
  • Strong technical aptitude and a strong desire for continuous learning required
  • Strong written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills, self-motivated to thrive in a remote (work from home) environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at fast pace.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams is Required
  • Technical background in Instrumentation (Pressure, Level, Flow Measurement), Analyzers, Electrical or Valves a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 Year Degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
  • Super User of Microsoft EXCEL
  • Technical experience related to Flow Measurement, Analyzers, Electrical and Valves
