Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Field Access Manager to optimize patient access to therapies and navigate reimbursement challenges within the Plasma-Immunology portfolio. Based in the United States, the role reports to the Regional Director of Patient Access in the West region.

Job description

Field Access Manager (FAM), Plasma-Immunology Patient Access (OH, PA). Report to Regional Director, Patient Access, Plasma-Immunology, West.

How you will contribute:

• Optimize Patient Access: Navigate reimbursement and access challenges to ensure timely access to Takeda therapies.
• Proactive Education and Support: Provide tailored field-based education on reimbursement processes to provider group practices, hospitals, academic institutions, specialty pharmacies, and other stakeholders; anticipate and address access challenges.
• Strategic Partnership: Build relationships with healthcare organizations to identify and resolve reimbursement/access issues for seamless therapy initiation and continuation.
• Enhance Team Capabilities: Educate internal teams on complex reimbursement/access scenarios.
• Adaptability and Insight: Monitor healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs.
• Strong knowledge of reimbursement landscape and practice management.
• Ability to develop and execute account-based strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Expertise in account management, relationship development, and issue resolution.
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.

Desired:

• 5+ years reimbursement experience in pharma/biotech/rare disease.
• MBA/advanced degree.
• Healthcare policy/market access experience; buy-and-bill and pharmacy model familiarity.
• Specialty/high-cost therapy experience.

Location/Travel:

• Field-based; up to 75% travel. Must live in territory; drive/fly to meetings; clean valid driver's license.
