Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in the United States seeks a Field Access Manager (Patient Access) to drive reimbursement education for providers and stakeholders and to ensure timely access to Takeda therapies. Field Access Manager (Patient Access)

Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Optimize patient access by serving as an educational resource on reimbursement and access challenges to ensure timely access to Takeda therapies.
• Provide proactive, tailored, field-based reimbursement education to healthcare providers and stakeholders (provider groups, hospitals, academic institutions, specialty pharmacies, etc.), anticipating and addressing access barriers.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations to identify and resolve reimbursement and patient access issues.
• Support internal teams with education and guidance to address complex reimbursement and patient access scenarios.
• Stay current on healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory requirements to proactively address access challenges.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs.
• Strong knowledge of reimbursement and practice management.
• Proven ability to develop and execute account-based strategies for patient access outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Expertise in account management, relationship development, and issue resolution.
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• 5+ years in patient services or reimbursement (pharma/biotech/rare disease).
• Experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, market access, or related areas.
• Familiarity with buy-and-bill and pharmacy models.
• Experience with specialty/high-cost therapies in chronic/acute care.

Location/Travel:

• Field-based; up to 75% travel.
• Territory: Ohio (Cleveland, Cincinnati, Akron, Canton). Must live within territory.

Compensation (if applicable):

U.S. base salary range: $152,000–$209,000.
