Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Field Access Manager to optimize patient access across CO, AZ, and UT. You will navigate reimbursement challenges and educate providers to support therapy initiation and ongoing access, while building strong relationships with healthcare organizations.

The role requires 5+ years in field-based account management or medical affairs, deep reimbursement knowledge, and excellent communication. Travel up to 75% is expected to cover the territory.

Field Access Manager (FAM), Plasma-Immunology Patient Access (CO, AZ, UT)
Objectives and Responsibilities:
  • Optimize Patient Access: Navigate reimbursement and access challenges to ensure timely access to therapies.
  • Proactive Education and Support: Provide tailored, field-based education on reimbursement to key accounts (provider groups, hospitals, academics, specialty pharmacies, other stakeholders) and anticipate/address access challenges.
  • Strategic Partnership: Build collaborative relationships with healthcare organizations to resolve reimbursement/access issues and support therapy initiation and continuation.
  • Enhance Team Capabilities: Educate internal teams to address complex reimbursement/access scenarios.
  • Adaptability and Insight: Stay current on healthcare policies, reimbursement trends, and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; 5+ years of field-based experience in account management, sales, or medical affairs; strong knowledge of reimbursement and practice management; ability to develop/execute account-based strategies; excellent written and verbal communication; expertise in account management/relationship development/issue resolution; strong interpersonal skills and flexibility.
  • Desired: 5+ years in reimbursement roles (pharma/biotech/rare disease); MBA/advanced degree; healthcare policy/reimbursement/market access experience; familiarity with buy-and-bill and pharmacy models; experience with specialty/high-cost therapies.
Location and Travel Requirements:
  • Field-based; up to 75% travel.
  • Must live in territory; ability to drive/fly to meetings.
  • Clean and valid driver’s license.
